Hi Teresa:
I wanted to check in with you and see how everything is going so far. I've been the MIA parent and have been meaning to reach out and chat with you about how you're feeling about watching Dante so far. I know Dante adores you and that you both are forming a great bond. He's always happy when I pick him up and that tells me things are going well.

Always the over protective parent - since I'm not there - I do worry about his safety. Even though he's with you and /or Avi during the day - I still get a bit nervous. And, as you are his nanny, I'd like to talk to you about a few things to be extra careful about.

I noticed a second scratch on Dante's leg yesterday that looked similar to the one on his arm. That told me that there was probably something in his environment causing it. After checking my apartment and finding nothing I looked around Avi's studio and sure enough there was a piece of sharp metal on one of the strollers that had punctured
the crib. Please make sure there is nothing ever touching or leaning against the crib. Please do a run through before you put him in it to make sure of that.

Avi tells me that you give the studio a swiffer clean on the floors and carpets almost daily and keep the place orderly – thanks so much for doing that. I'd appreciate it if you could continue to do that and maybe add the wet / dry vacuum once a week on the floors

Since Dante's crawling around it might be a good idea to do a quick daily walk through as part of your cleaning routine and visually check the floor from down low where Dante is to catch small items that might be hard to spot from above. I've found staples and such on the studio floor in the past and loads of stuff on my apartment floor too. Avi really depends on you to keep the place clean and as dirt free as
possible for Dante's safety. I really hope you're ok with that being part of the nanny job.

As the weather has been pleasant and nice - I want to make sure
Dante's gets out of the studio and has park and swing time each day
(weather permitting). I'll start putting a blanket in the crib so you
can take him out. He loves the swing and fountain in Stuyvesant Town.
I or Avi can show you where they are.

Also - I made keys to my apartment that I want to give you. If things
get hectic at the office or he's just too fussy and over-stimulated.
You are more than welcome to hang out at my apartment and give him a
change of scenery. I'll give those to you and or Avi
today/tomorrow.

These are my first thoughts. Avi and I think you're doing a fabulous
job and I'm grateful we found you. Now that you've been with us a few
weeks and settled into a routine I'd really like your feedback on how
you feel about the job, your concerns, questions and anything else you
want to bounce off me. Please let me know your thoughts either through
e-mail or phone.

I'd like to chat with you for a bit. So please let me know when
you're free - or call
me at 646 258 8792 when you get a moment today.

Thanks again and talk to you soon
