Tuesday, August 25th
Sonogram at Cityscape OBGYN went well. They predict baby 2 is around 8lbs 13oz right now. Baby is too big to get everything into the frame so we saw body parts, head, face, femur, stomach. He's in the head down position and his back to against my right side and his feet/heels are what I feel rolling across my left side. My weight hasn't
increased this week, which is good. 164lbs. Dr Rosenberg said I was already about 3 cm dilated and wants me to come in early next week to check again. She said they might want to induce if I haven't delivered yet. I'm open it anything after my move :-)
Dante: He's waking up so early lately - pretty much as soon as I'm up, he's following shortly thereafter. "is it daytime" he loves to say as if that's enough reason to get up, even at 6am. He's great with daytime/nighttime and loves to call out the weather. It's sunny, windy and hot. it's raining, lightening and thunder. But mostly, he likes to connect things to daytime/nighttime. I strolled him up to the clinic this morning and told him we were going to the doctor to see the baby. I got a huge smile when he spontaneously said "I'm going to see my baby brother" :-) During the sonogram he found a box full of condoms and quietly played with them until the nurse caught him and took the box away - LOL. Since she was going to trash them after this little fingers got all over them, Rahav took a few and blew up balloons which delighted Dante who threw them around until we were done and then proudly carried them out the door onto the street :-)
Gratitude Journal Day Two
- My new apartment, I love it and it will be my and the boys home for years to come
- The financial comfort and freedom to own a home and provide for two boys
- Good friends who call and check up on me. Yesterday I got calls from Naomi, Allegra, Nicole, Lynne, Darcy.
- My mother and father who are going to fly up and help me pack, move and settle into my new place
- Popcicles... I made frozen apple & orange ones yesterday and indulged!
